IQ world map

Yesterday I found this map on a blog which I thought might be interesting to discuss here.

it shows the average (?) IQ for each country, colour-coded as a map. As there is no reference for this data I continued my search on the web and found belows list (again without no reference for the numbers) on another page

Another round of Google search finally led me to this Wikipedia entry, which seems to be the source for these numbers. Thereby, the authors directly relate the wealth of a country to its average IQ. There is also of lot of criticism on this work, as stated here. As this is a totally other field of science I can’t judge if this study makes sense or not, but since Japan and Austria rank 3rd and 6th I can live with it :-)
