New Year’s Concert lottery

The Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert is an even that is broadcasted all over the world and which attracts several million of music fans in front of their TVs. A few people are lucky to get tickets (mostly those from the companies which act as sponsor for the concert) directly, the rest needs to apply in the ticket lottery for the remaining 700 seats which are not given away in advance. This year, which means running for tickets in 2013, I decided to apply in the lottery as well and I submitted my application for two tickets last week. Chances are less than one percent (700 seats for more than 70,000 applications) but why not giving it a try?
