In Austria it is possible that some one can get blessings from the roman-catholic church not only for himself, but also for his job, his house and even his car. By watching TV yesterday night I learnt that something similar exists here in Japan. E.g. this temple has been built only for the purpose of blessing cars. When there are no blessings, a huge parking space invites people to stop, take a break and purchase some small (blessed) items (omamori) which you put in your car with the purpose to prevent accidents, break downs or other vehicle related unpleasant occurrences. Other temples like this, which does not have a dedicated parking lot, offers car blessings, bicycle blessings and also sells the small and convenient omamori. Thus, I am wondering how other religion are dealing with blessings of vehicles?
